Meet the Board

Owner of Star Taxes and Books, Tamra may be relatively new to Glenrock, but she already feels right at home. Having spent most of her life in small towns, she values the sense of connection and community they offer. Tamra is passionate about helping small business owners create, build, and grow their businesses, and she’s excited to share her expertise to support Glenrock’s continued growth and success.

A longtime Glenrock resident, Doug has owned and operated several local businesses over the years, including the beloved Classic Café, which he ran for more than two decades. A true family man at heart, Doug is dedicated to serving the Glenrock community and supporting the people and businesses that make it such a special place to live.

Karie Moulton is a dedicated community member passionate about the community in which she serves. She believes strong communities are built on involvement, leadership, and an active commitment to service.

Karie has lived in Glenrock for over 30 years. She graduated from Glenrock High School, and then the University of Wyoming with a bachelor’s in criminal justice. Throughout her professional and volunteer work, Karie has demonstrated a deep commitment to community engagement, working closely with local organizations, businesses, and residents to encourage a healthy and thriving community.

Throughout Karie’s years of service to the community, she brings a variety of networking, volunteerism, and leadership skills to the board.

Melissa Lee serves as Treasurer of the Elevate Glenrock Board. She also serves our community as Director of Human Resources/Finance at Glenrock Health Center. Although fairly new to Glenrock, almost immediately she began to hold the sense of community she found here in very high regard and feels an importance in nurturing and supporting that. With a background in business and finance, as well as coming up in a small Wyoming town, Melissa is passionate about local business growth and community development.

Chris is a devoted mother and grandmother who has been a passionate supporter of Elevate Glenrock since attending her very first meeting. She dives in headfirst to volunteer at community events, always eager to bring people together and strengthen the bonds that make Glenrock special. With extensive experience in local industries and previous positions she has held, she offers a unique and valuable perspective when it comes to supporting businesses and the community she loves.

In her spare time, Chris enjoys spending time with family and friends and working on her many crafts. She loves being part of Elevate Glenrock and now the Glenrock Visitor Center, as it allows her to fulfill one of her greatest passions — serving others and, whenever possible, putting a smile on someone’s face.

Chris moved to Glenrock in 2022 after living in eastern Wyoming since 2019 coming from the other side of Wyoming. She was drawn to the beauty of the town and its small-town charm, with the convenience of being adjacent to a larger community when needed. Having grown up in a small town, she deeply missed that close-knit atmosphere. Since moving here, she has been continually amazed by how welcoming and friendly the people of Glenrock are.

John Moulton is a longtime Glenrock business owner, community leader, and dedicated supporter of the community he has called home for decades. He is the owner of Glenrock Motorsports and Co-Owner of Axe Brewthers and has been actively involved with Elevate Glenrock and community initiatives throughout Glenrock.

Since 1994, John has owned and operated Glenrock Motorsports, a family-owned and operated business serving Glenrock and the surrounding area. For more than 30 years, the business has provided ATVs, side-by-sides, generators, tractors, mowers, and full-service repair. After decades of support from the people of Glenrock for both his business and his family, John believes strongly in giving back to the community that has supported him.

That commitment is reflected in his involvement with Elevate Glenrock and numerous community events and initiatives. John has been a driving force behind events such as the annual Deer Creek Days celebration and continues to encourage strong board involvement, community participation, local partnerships, and volunteerism.

John has continued his investment in Glenrock through his newest business venture, Axe Brewthers. Created to bring a new entertainment experience to town, Axe Brewthers was built as a place where friends, families, coworkers, and visitors can gather, eat, have fun, celebrate, and make memories right here in Glenrock.

For John, owning local businesses and serving the community go hand in hand. Whether he is running a business, helping with a community event, supporting local organizations, or developing something new for Glenrock, his goal remains the same: support local businesses, create opportunities, strengthen the community, and help ensure Glenrock continues to be a great place to live, work, visit, and do business.

With 30 years of experience in the refining and oil & gas industries, Lonnie Sorenson brings decades of professional experience, a strong work ethic, and a people-first approach to everything he does. After his career in the energy industry, Lonnie transitioned into real estate and sales, where he continues to build strong relationships and serve others. He is also a co-owner of Axe Brewthers, a new Glenrock business focused on bringing entertainment, dining, and new experiences to the community.

Although newer to both the Elevate Glenrock Board and the Glenrock community, Lonnie has quickly become an active and engaged member who feels right at home in Glenrock. As a local real estate agent, he is known for his dedication to his clients and his hands-on approach throughout every step of the buying or selling process.

Lonnie has also become a driving force behind Elevate Glenrock’s events and programs, bringing his energy, ideas, and willingness to get involved wherever needed. He is passionate about giving back, supporting local businesses, and helping create events and opportunities that bring people together and strengthen the community. His enthusiasm for Glenrock’s continued growth and success makes him a valued member of the Elevate Glenrock team.

In his free time, Lonnie enjoys collecting coins, creating custom laser projects, giving back to the community, and, most importantly, spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Sharon has proudly called Glenrock home since 1975 and has spent much of that time giving back to the community she loves. Sharon also started the Glenrock Giving Tree in 1975, beginning a long tradition of helping local families and making sure others are cared for during the holiday season.

Volunteering and helping others have always been an important part of Sharon’s life. Over the years, she has devoted countless hours to supporting people in need, including spending time helping and providing comfort to those who were terminally ill. She has a genuine heart for people and is always willing to lend a hand wherever she can.

Family is also incredibly important to Sharon. She has three grown children, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, all of whom live in the Glenrock area.

Sharon loves staying busy and being around people. A true social butterfly, she always has time to stop, visit, share a story, or catch up with someone she knows. After more than five decades in Glenrock, her love for the community is as strong as ever. She truly loves this town with everything she has and continues to show it through the time, kindness, and energy she gives to the people around her.
